Secrets to Understanding Your Laowai Boss

This May 31st, a new seminar hosted by CanCham Shanghai promises to discuss everything an employee needs to know about dealing with their boss of another culture.

Jason Inch, Managing Director of InChina Event Management and Dolly Ou Yang, Executive Director of HKJ Global Co. Ltd., will give the presentation.

Topics include:

- How to adapt to a multicultural work environment and anticipate any potential cultural barriers and how to avoid them

- Understanding what your boss is thinking - why does your boss appear to say something and then do something else?

- The best methods for dealing with your boss and what kind of behavioural techniques could be implemented to improve communication

- Differences in management styles between the East and the West and tricks for how to cope with the change

The seminar will be held Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Sheraton Shanghai HongQiao Hotel.

Tickets cost RMB 120 for CanCham Members, RMB 180 for non-members.
