Join AustCham Shanghai, Stewart Dellar from BlueScope Steel and Norwell Coquillard from SIFE China for a breakfast seminar on how to support both your business and the community through your CSR activities.

Stewart will cover:
- The Link between CSR and Business Strategy “ BlueScope Steel China – SIFE Environmental Sustainability Program”
- The Importance of “The Right People to achieve the Right Strategic Outcome”
- The Talent Pool – “Sink or Swim”

Norwell will cover:
- Introduction of SIFE and how the organisation brings together students, businesses and universities to improve the community
- Maximizing your CSR reach/improving its cost effectiveness (with SIFE as an example)
- Using CSR as part of your government relations strategy

Participating SIFE program students will also present their developed outreach programs that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

GUEST SPEAKERS:

Stewart Dellar, President Building Solutions Asia of BlueScope Steel

Stewart Dellar is currently the President Building Solutions Asia for BlueScope Steel which covers the Greater China and ASEAN markets. Stewart has accumulated 20 years experience in the building and construction industry and his leadership is known for creating and executing strategy to deliver “Step Change” performance for organizations. He is regularly asked to present to industry on topics such as “Sustainability in Design” and coaches and mentors young leaders on their career.

Over the past 5 years in his current role he has lead his organization to achieve industry recognitions such as; ACBC Awards 2011 for “Business Innovation”, and at the 30th Anniversary Ceremony of the China Construction Metal Structure Association the award of “High Performing Organization”. Stewart was also personally recognized and the first foreigner to be awarded the “High Performing Entrepreneur”. He is a director of a number of organizations and sits on a number of industry association committees. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Double Major) from Griffith University Queensland and an MBA (Advanced) from the University of Queensland.

J. Norwell Coquillard, Chairman and President of SIFE China

SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.

Nor Coquillard is a long time Shanghai resident having served as the CEO of the agribusiness firm Cargill China from 1998 to 2009. In total Nor spent 31 years with the Cargill also serving as the head of the Japan and Korea operations prior to his move to China. Nor was the Chairman of the Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce in 2008 and 2009. Since 2010 Nor has devoted the majority of his time to SIFE China and has built SIFE into a nationwide organization with support from the Government as well as multinational and Chinese companies. Nor also serves as the Chairman of IMA China and as a Senior Counselor at APCO.
