New Regulations for Establishing a Representative Office in China
AmCham-China and the American Bar Association invite you to learn about the regulations governing foreign representative offices (RO). We have assembled a panel of experts who will explain all aspects of this always complicated and ever changing set of rules.
New incorporation regulations required under the new regulations will affect foreign investors setting up representative offices in China as well as those already having established ROs. Furthermore, the Chinese State Administration of Tax (SAT) issued two new tax circulars , Nos. 18 on February 20, 2010, placing ROs under increasing domestic tax pressure to conform to these new regulations. ROs are now subject to increased amounts of tax and more limitations
Russell Leu of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP will lead the panel as well as provide highlights on the new legal requirements to register a RO. Sabrina Zhang of Dezan Shira & Associates will discuss topics particularly important to ROs, such as tax implications. Jim Leininger of Towers Watson will conclude with a presentation on the Human Resource implications of the law and changes employers may make.
Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to gain a full understanding of the new regulations as well as insights on real world practices and governmental priorities.
